f) Related Web Sites, Newsgroups and Mailing Lists:

< Lewis Crow>
What I'd REALLY like to find are some other bands who were influenced by
or pattern their sound after BC/Skids. Any recommendations?

[Many of us have searched for a bands that sound like Big Country. The truth is, there
aren't any. Big Country are just unique. However many people lump them in the Celtic
Rock or Celtic Music category. Below are several web sites, newsgroups and mailing
lists that might also appeal to you.]

1) Here is a web page with many links to other Celtic bands (even bagpipe sites).

    http://celtic.stanford.edu/Internet_Sources.html

2) This is the largest celtic music archive on the net, with information on artists,
tunes, schedules, instruments and much more.

     http://celtic.stanford.edu/ceolas.html

3) Newsgroup: rec.music.celtic

Chief celtic music group on Usenet. About 30-80 messages per day.

4) Newsgroup: soc.culture.celtic

Not often associated with music, but may cover other celtic questions which
     sometimes get posted to rec.music.celtic.
