This is a list of recent changes to the Big Country home page, so you don't have to search for them. I won't record all changes. However, I will note any changes in content.

• Somewhat redesigned the main page to reflect the changes I described below.

26 January 1998

• Added comments regarding the future of this site. Due to a lack of time (and committment on my part), I have not adequately maintained these pages. I will keep a list of other BC sites and the chat room will remain open. Let me know if you have any questions.

8 October 1997

• Added link to GWR's news release

26 August 1997

• Changed link for BC Poll to BC Poll results.

31 July 1997

• Added link to the BC Poll (finally).

26 July 1997

• Added link to Great West Records new web page.

2 July 1997

• Added page for Tony Butler's new record label, "Great West Records".

29 June 1997

• Added link to "All Of Us", a web site by James Birch about the US fan club. Also update the "All Of Us" entry on the list of fan clubs. Nice to have James back on the net!

23 May 1997

• Updated the Mailing List page to provide info on the new mailing list.
• Added page telling how to switch from the old mailing list to the new one.

April 1997

• Since I have not been updating these pages as I should, I have linked the "Recent News" section to the news pages of more current web sites.

1 December 1996

• Moved The Crossing from Clemson to The Internet Center. Hopefully, I have updated all of the links correctly. I doubt it though, so please let me know if you find a mistake!

3 May 1996

• Added link to Lewis Crow's BC web page, "Wonderland"

14 April 1996

• Added link to Pure Records Big Country web page.

8 March 1996

• Created new page for New Releases, including track listings for remastered albums, potential tracks on the Obscurities album, and comments from mailing list members on those tracks.

23 February 1996

• Created a Chat Room, for (near) real-time discussion.

02 January 1996

• Finally updated the Restless Natives Transcription.
• Added two articles from Record Collector Magazine.

27 November 1995

• Melody James sent me the preliminary FAQ and "The Best Of The Big Country Mailing List". I have added both documents to the home page (and I've even started to add HTML).

26 November 1995

• Jan Bremner (of Country Club) made a number of important announcements recently. Please see the Recent News (date: 26 November 1995) page for details.
• Added a summary section to the Recent News page.
• Added Mike Lynd's posting of Record Collector ads.

12 November 1995

• Added Jeffrey Marsh's transcription of some of the dialog from Restless Natives (under Miscellaneous section).
• Added 1986 Interview (HTML'd it, too)
• HTML'd 1983 Interview
• HTML'd 1988 Article about their Soviet Tour
• Updated lyrics for "Honky Tonk Woman" and "Hey Hey My My".
• Changed "bio" page from outdated "All Music Guide" entry to a list of bio's (mostly from album liner notes).

08 November 1995

• Added pictures for The Crossing and The Seer
• removed "pre" tags from lyrics to The Seer; now they are completely hypertext

30 October 1995

• Jeffrey Marsh sent me the remaining liner notes, so that part of the lyrics page is now complete!

29 October 1995

• Re-organized the b-sides' lyrics into separate files.
• Updated b-sides' lyrics from Why The Long Face.
• Added lyrics page for BBC Live In Concert and added links to lyrics in the Album Discography.
• Last Modified date now indicates date of last change to this file instead of the home page. Most changes are to other files and not to the home page itself; furthermore, these changes are noted here. So the date now more accurately indicates when changes were last made.

• Modified the FAQ just a bit, but no substantive additions (the FAQ is really a job better-suited to someone else).

• Added credits (on lyrics page) for Without The Aid Of A Safety Net and Why The Long Face.

• Added some recent news, regarding release dates for next single and the upcoming issue of All Of Us.
• Moved section on Pictures from home page to a separate page.

• Finished adding lyrics links to the Album Discography, including all b-sides.

29 July 1995

• Moved lyrics to all b-sides into one file.
• Finished (finally!) adding hypertext and links to the lyrics pages.
• Almost finished adding lyrics links to the Album Discography (need to fix b-sides links).

23 July 1995

• Changed format of the Tour Dates page (I think I like it better).
• Added a few more tour dates.
• Removed "ad" for the Chronicles Disc Series at James' request (contact James for info on these cds - see fan clubs page for his email address).

21 July 1995

• Changed the "Album Discography" from text into full hypertex. Still need to finish adding links to song lyrics. (Looks better now, IMHO)
• Placed "ad" for the Chronicles Disc Series.

• Added to the Recent News page news about Jan's (from Country Club) email address and goal of sending Hot News over the net.
• Added a few more tour dates.

• Added links to lyrics for The Crossing, Steeltown, Wonderland, and The Seer.
• Updated info on Fan Clubs and Fanzines page (including adding email addresses!)
• Fixed links to CDnow!'s Big Country pictures.
• Slightly modified the format of this page.
